GreenDoor Development Receives State Rehabilitation Tax Credit Funds for Russell Howland House Redevelopment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GreenDoor Development has been awarded $300,000 in state rehabilitation tax credit funds by the Massachusetts Historical Commission for the rehabilitation and preservation of the Russell Howland House, also known as the Hetty Green House, in New Bedford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award was granted through the Massachusetts Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Program in support of the ongoing preservation and rehabilitation of the historic property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Russell Howland House, recognized for its historical significance within the New Bedford community, will undergo rehabilitation efforts aimed at preserving the integrity and character of the structure for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GreenDoor Development Receives Community Preservation Funding for Russell Howland House Redevelopment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GreenDoor Development has been awarded $288,835 in Community Preservation Act funding through the City of New Bedford to support the restoration and adaptive reuse of the historic Russell Howland House at 1061 Pleasant Street. The project will transform the property into 20 mixed-income apartment units, including 16 affordable homes, while preserving the building\u2019s historic character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award supports GreenDoor\u2019s continued commitment to creating high-quality housing that strengthens neighborhoods through thoughtful preservation and increased housing accessibility. Funding approval is pending final confirmation by the City Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
